Our litter of 8 healthy puppies was born on Sunday January 12, 2014. We had 7 girls and 1 boy born in the space of just about 5 hours. That is probably a record speed for Daintree. Steeler is a great mother and takes time away for herself, laying outside of the nursery between feedings but never so far that she can't hear a cry.
All breedings are undertaken naturally with the dogs allowed to run together (supervised) to ensure maximum comfort and security. Pups are in utero for 9 weeks, and then we raise them for another 8 weeks. Typically, all of our puppies are pre-sold before a breeding even takes place.
