Update from Jasper's owners

Jasper status...

He cried pretty much all the way home in the car but has been okay
since getting home. We've successfully gotten outside for 2 poops and
he's peed more times outside than in! And we're both in love with him!

Alan can pick the folder up on his way home from work on Monday. Hope
your weekend goes well and you have a safe drive to BC!

update from Barrett's owners

HI Trisha,

Just wanted to let you know that Barrett has arrived safely. (Still debating two names. Will let you  know a.s.a.p. Will have a Tolkien theme.) The plane was delayed and it took a while till he got to Air Canada  Cargo. He was asleep in the crate!!!! He was definitely scared and really thirsty. He wouldn’t pee at the airport but as soon as we got home, he had a nice poop & pee the second he got on the grass. Brilliant puppy!!!!! Sam was just beside himself with joy to meet him. Just fed the pup. He was absolutely ravenous!!!

Better run. We’re going to have another potty break outside now.

preparations

I have bathed Jetty and Barrett since they are the first to leave tomorrow.  This was their first bath, and Jetty was a star.  She didn't love it but she didn't complain once.  Barrett complained the whole time but was fairly cooparative, and when I warmed the water up a bit he piped down.  Water temperature makes a difference to intact boy dogs, too hot and you might have a problem down the road...

The water that rinsed off each of them was filthy, and the puppies are now sparkling clean and smell like Mango!

I then did their nails and had a good cuddle with each while they warmed up and dried off.

It's a good idea to bathe your new puppy every few weeks to get them used to the ordeal, do their nails about once every week or two and brush them daily or at least quite often.

Be sure to clean their ears, handle their paws, and really get them used to touch all over as your vet and future groomers will appreciate their 'cool' when they need to be handled by others.
