The Yuletide litter is a week old today. The first week in a puppy's life can be very bumpy; it's nerve wracking for the breeder and has even referred to as the 'thank you for not dying' phase by someone one I admire (Jane Killion.)
However, the puppies are past it now and all are happy and fat. Steeler is a great mama and we are dealing with some terrific genes.

CH Daintree Dad's Best Jeans and CH Daintree's Ladybug Thief are parents again to a beautiful litter of 8. Again, as with their first litter we were blessed with 7 girls and 1 boy. pups are currently 5 days old and doing well.
Due to the preference of some of the homes we had lined up seeking males, we have one place available for a family looking for a female. Apply today, you might be the lucky family going home with a beautiful Daintree puppy in February.

The grabby side of velcro on these dog panties was full of debris so I did a google and found this GREAT hack.

To clean velcro, try a slicker brush used on dogs and cats.
This week is dedicated to cleaning the dog area. Our main floor where the dogs live with me, is cleaned as a regular home is. The dogs also have a large, finished room in the basement aptly called "the dog room." It is getting TLC right now. We've washed walls, shampooed the carpet, and now we're scrubbing the crates inside and out.
They use their crates to eat, and as their hangout when I am unable to supervise but can't leave them in the yard.
Spring, Summer and Fall we deep clean everything, reorganize, repair, replace and revamp.
There is a lot of unglamorous grunt work that goes into caring for animals en masse. I attempt to show you a glimpse from time to time.
